The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Invitation for Expressions of Interest
for the acquisition of
Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Limited - JorAMCo
As part of Royal Jordanian Airlines Restructuring and Privatization Program, the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, represented by Royal Jordanian Executive Privatization Committee (RJEPC), intends to sell Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Limited (JorAMCo) by offering its shares through this international tendering process.
JorAMCo was separated from Royal Jordanian Airlines, and was registered on 1 October 2000 as a limited liability company operating in a special free zone at area Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan.
JorAMCo is a specialized aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider offering all levels of aircraft maintenance services for six types of aircraft, B727, B707, L1011, A310, A320 and A340. The company is certified by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority, and is an approved maintenance organization by U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA), and several other civil aviation authorities.
During its three years of operation as an independent company, JorAMCo built an excellent reputation and established an impressive track record showing consistent growth and profitability. While JorAMCo continued to provide its main customer, Royal Jordanian Airlines with all its aircraft engineering and maintenance needs, it has developed its business significantly to provide services to several other customer airlines from the region, Africa, Europe and from the United States. Royal Jordanian Airlines' share of JorAMCo's business in 2003 was around 55%.
JorAMCo will be privatized through an international invitation to tender for the sale of up to 100% stake to a capable investor, or a consortium of investors, with proven financial strength.
Interested parties are invited to send an Expression of Interest, supported by adequate bidder profile documentation to the address below no later than 29 January 2004. Short-listed candidates will be able to receive bidding documents outlining the transaction, bidding procedure and data room rules against a nonrefundable fee of US$ 2500 and upon receipt of a signed confidentiality agreement. The Government reserves the right to exclude any unsuitable bidders.
